Matthew Hughes

Buying his first property at only 19, Matthew Hughes has closely monitored property markets around Australia throughout more than two decades.

Matthew has been advising investors and outperforming market averages for over 10 years, guiding his clients towards achieving their objectives through sound research philosophies and unbiased strategies.

CPA’s National Investment Advisory Committee represents the culmination of Matthew’s passion for creating market-leading outcomes for investors, and now with the addition of two of the most experienced national research icons to his team, CPA are better positioned than any advisory in the country to help you excel.

In addition to his role with CPA, Matthew is also founder and Managing Director of Capital Lending Advisory, Matte Black Real Estate and the CEO of Hunter Capital – a syndicated property development firm.

John Lindeman

John is widely respected as one of Australia’s leading property market analysts. With over twenty years of experience researching the nature and dynamics of the housing market at major data analysts, John is renowned as the property market researcher that other experts go to for all their Australian housing market insights.

John regularly provides presentations, commissioned reports and other research services on the nature and direction of the residential property market for property industry leaders, including CPA. His extensive property knowledge is complemented by around forty years’ experience as a highly successful property investor.

John is a sought-after contributor to property media and has authored the landmark best-selling books for property investors, Mastering the Australian Housing Market and Unlocking the Property Market, both published by Wileys.

Kent Lardner

Kent Lardner has built a distinguished career in property data and analytics over the past 25 years. His roles have spanned from managing data solutions at companies like CoreLogic and Pricefinder, to spearheading innovation projects at JLL and Realestateview.com.au. As the founder of Suburbtrends, Kent has focused on delivering cutting-edge research and insights into the property market. His in-depth understanding of property trends has been widely recognised across major media outlets, with a strong focus on data accuracy and market analytics.

Andrew Hancock

Andrew’s journey in property commenced two decades ago and has included many different roles – from providing property investment and strategic planning advice, to co-founding and successfully operating My Property Pro Buyer’s Agents in Sydney since 2014. He is a seasoned and passionate property professional, with experience across all facets of property research, acquisitions and ongoing portfolio management.

Personally, Andrew has expertly built a double-digit, multi-million dollar property portfolio spanning national and international markets and has helped hundreds of property investors directly and indirectly acquire and build their own successful portfolios across the country.

In addition to his property endeavours, Andrew is also a qualified airline pilot and Boeing instructor – his integrity and diligence coupled with a highly analytical and process-driven mind, make him a valuable addition to the CPA National Investment Advisory Committee.

Ben Chamberlain

Ben is a highly meticulous, detail-oriented Research Assistant, and is a valuable addition to our Advisory Committee. With a strong commitment to market outperformance, Ben plays a pivotal role in analysing the results of our data-driven research process, compiling the thoughts of our more senior researchers, and finally overlaying the “boots-on-the-ground” knowledge of our local experts from each of our serviced cities and towns.

Boasting over five years of expertise in the property financing, development and acquisition sector, Ben’s diverse background sets him apart. His journey includes significant roles in commercial debt, structured equity, and property development, where he has finely tuned his skills, particularly in the realms of data analysis, due diligence, commercial and residential projects.

Ben brings his personal blend of organisational acumen, dedication to accuracy, and a diverse skill set to elevate the Committee’s capabilities and realise market-leading results for CPA clients.
