Defying expectations of a sluggish market until a COVID-19 vaccine is discovered, Subiaco and Kingsley are both leading the way on quick sales. The two suburbs last month enjoyed the shortest median sales time of only 12 days — which is more than twice as fast as the 28-day median it took to sell a property in those suburbs in the same period last year. Real estate agents and developers have widely credited the flood of West Australians returning home from overseas and abroad for much of the interest in Perth property, with reports some are buying properties unseen from hotel quarantine. A better-than-expected recovery from the pandemic since the State ended its lockdown has also contributed to relatively strong property confidence.
