The driving force behind the redevelopment of Scarborough, Elizabeth Quay and Yagan Square is now being tasked with extending their Midland redevelopment area to include one of our favoured suburbs, Bayswater – becoming METRONET East. The Midland Redevelopment Area has been extended to encompass the precincts surrounding the Bayswater and Forrestfield train stations, with a renewed focus on vibrancy, housing and employment opportunities. Bayswater Project Area Forrestfield Project Area This expansion, known as the METRONET East Redevelopment Area , is intended to maximise the development opportunities from METRONET transport infrastructure. Consultations with the cities of Bayswater, Kalamunda and Swan will take place in the coming months and the statutory process is expected to run for approximately 12 months.
